We are currently stuck into Season 2 of House of Cards and oh my god we are addicted. Have you seen it? You probably have, because I don't think anyone is as slow as us at watching tv shows as we are right now. It took us 6 months to get through True Detective, true story. Most nights by the time we get to turn the tv on all I can stay awake for is a half hour (well, tv half hour) comedy show. Makes it a little hard to get though full hour dramas.
Anyway House of Cards Season 2, by golly it is good. I had read that it isn't as good as Season 1 and it does have a different pace to it. It's not as obvious where things are heading & why things are happening, but it is still gripping. The audacity of this couple and the lengths they will go to get what they want, it is unbelievable & that is what makes good television. Clare's character has a little more depth to her & with her bill, it's hard to believe that they are actually fighting for something they believe in and not just something that will take them to the next level. Frank continues to come out with great ruthless quotes & my favourite thus far (other than the one above, of course, is this one:
'If we never did anything we shouldn't do, we'd never feel good about doing the things we should'
If you haven't got stuck into Season 2 then you absolutely should and if you are already up to Season 3 then please, no spoilers over the next 6 months while we finish Season 2. Just kidding, we are going to finish by the end of March for sure!
